Yah, I’m singing the title like Sesame Street’s Bert. Or is it Burt? I think it’s Bert. Actually, it’s Ernie hahahaha! He’s the rubber duckie guy, right?
Wow this is beginning off track! I had a funny story show up in my email today. I’m always somewhat fascinated by Guinness World Records. I have no idea why. Perhaps maybe too many hours of a misspent youth reading their books.
Today’s story was about a woman from Seattle, who has amassed a WORLD RECORD of…. 5, 631 … wait for it… or you’ve probably already guessed it – RUBBER DUCKIES!
It made me smile, and think of my Mom and Grandma when I read her story because it’s similar to theirs – it started with a couple of ducks, and then took on a mind of it’s own and has now become a world record collection.
For my Mom, it was Holstein Cows. For my Grandma, it was frogs. Hundreds of them – in the frog case at least.
It got my thinking – does anyone else out there in our city have a CRAZY collection… maybe that’s the wrong word .. IMPRESSIVE? collection of… something?
I’d love to see examples in the comments, so please share if you have A LOT of something!
Thanks for reading my blog!
