An uptown business is railing against city council’s view of it being a nuisance property
The Port Alberni Squash and Billiards Club recently drew the attention of councillor Jack McLeman, but manager Candy Travers says the criticism is unjustified.
She said work is being done on the front of the building through the city’s facade improvement program, and will soon be a combination of stone and cedar siding.
She said despite council’s issues with the property, city staff held their Christmas party at the club and were impressed with the newly renovated facility.
