Crews will begin repairing the track at Bob Dailey Stadium this month.
The rubber surface is peeling at the north end of track, and the city has requested the original installers return to make the repairs before the warranty runs out in a year.
But the city admits there’s also a drainage problem in that same area of the track, and Mayor Mike Ruttan says they’re unsure if the two problems are related.
The rubber track surface was last upgraded in 2013 at a cost of $700,000
