Waitress Fail to veil (almost)

Our story begins when I 1st got let go of a job at the info center in port alberni.. I was newly on the job market and I heard of an opening at the restaurant The Golden Dragon a Chinese food place. Now I had never waitressed A-day in my entire life BUT I thought what the hell. So I went and handed in a resume and a while later I ended up with an interview and in the end I did get a position as a waitress. So my 1st shift comes around and I knew wager sing well enough that tips are important so of course I was dressed up nicely. So my 1st break comes up and I went out to have a smoke (we don't anymore) and I had already seen him in the kitchen once from the back but I didn't really think too much of it.. But as I went and walked up to the spot where we smoked he was out there smoking as well. We Look at each other and got those damn butterflies. I totally started the conversation because I could tell he wanted to talk to me but didn't really know what to say and may have been a bit nervous. I had lived in Port my whole life and had never seen him so I knew he wasn't from here. Which made me even more interested because I didn't like any of the guys that lived here so. I kept pushing conversation and eventually he asked me if I was on Facebook which I replied to of course yes. And so I waited about a week and only had a sporadic shifts (which we weren't always working together) and I soon noticed that he never added me and so I was a little disappointed to say the least. The next time we went for a smoke I asked him why he didn't add me and he said he did. Well none of you know this but my name is Qiana and people tend to spell it wrong and that was exactly what happened, he had spelled my name wrong. Later that evening obviously I got a friend request from him accepted very happily and pretty much the rest of is history. We don't work there anymore but we have a 10 year old son and a Dog and have been happily together for 11 years. We just got engaged this December and are going to be married soon!!! .....well when the pandemic is over so we can have a big wedding with all of our family. And go on a great honeymoon too ❤
