Port Alberni RCMP arrested the man they believe stabbed another man to death at the Port Pub apartments last month.
According to an RCMP press release, police arrested 30-year-old Dylan Hamilton-George yesterday morning while patrolling lower 4th Avenue.
Investigators believe an altercation took place and Hamilton George stabbed Johnny Sorensen, who was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
They say Hamilton George fled the scene and police had since been actively seeking his arrest
He has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Wednesday.
