Regional District Directors received an update on the aquatic centre study yesterday
Consultants from HCMA and GDH Solutions presented the results from two open houses and an online survey.
John Buttery said there were 1250 responses and 90% of people want a new facility.
He said community priorities are a 6 to 8 lane pool with spray features and a lazy river section, along with a larger hot tub.
The report will be presented to the Aquatic Centre Advisory Committee before the next stage of consultations begin this Fall.
