Chinook fishing has slowed down as all the commercial groups have had their fishery since the derby.
Chinook are still being caught though, mostly between China Creek and Coulsons
The coho are coming through now as well and Colby at Gone Fishin’ recommends using white hootchies or small spoons trolled a little faster.
The best chinook fishing is out in Barkley Sound at the Bamfield Wall, Whittlestone, Pill Point, Diplock Island and Swale Rock using bait, or either the white or green spatterback hootchies
