Poilievre visits Port Alberni

Federal Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre is in Port Alberni today, touring the SAN Group facilities and speaking with workers.
He said Conservatives are more responsive to peoples needs than the current Liberal government.
“We think Canadians, and particularly people on the island are very unhappy with the NDP-Liberal costly coalition that’s driven inflation to 40-year highs,” he said. “People are skipping meals and going to food banks, and our youth can’t afford homes after 8 years of Trudeau. They’re looking for a common sense government that will bring home lower prices, powerful paycheques, homes that people can afford, and safe streets for people to walk on, and that’s what a Poilievre government will do.”
Poilievre is the first Federal Conservative party leader to visit Port Alberni in recent memory, despite the fact former Conservative Prime Minister Kim Campbell was born here.
