Port Alberni RCMP believe one man could be responsible for a series of armed robberies on Sunday.
The 7-11 on Redford Street was held up yesterday afternoon, after being robbed last Sunday as well.
Yesterday evening a person jumped over the counter at the King Edward liquor store on Third Avenue but wasn’t able to grab any cash so they ran out the back door.
Shortly after the Redford 7-11 was hit again.
Port Alberni RCMP staff Sergeant Peter Dion says area businesses should take precautions.
“Clearly the 7-11 on Redford has been targetted and other businesses would be wise to take a look at their physical security for their staff and their businesses and think about ways they can reduce the risk of incidents like this for themselves and their employees and their patrons,” he said.
According to Dion the suspect’s behaviour and description was similar in all four cases.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect through direct knowledge, dash camera or private video that may assist.
