The owners of the Hollies Golf Course have until the end of June to clear their parking lot of RV trailers and campers.
They were initially given a temporary use permit by the Regional District allowing 22 campers, but ran afoul of bylaw officers who often counted up to 30 trailers parked there in excess of the 180-day maximum stay.
Cherry Creek Fire Chief Lucas Banton raised concerns about the trailers being considerably closer than the 5-metres distances recommended for fire safety.
The ACRD board of directors voted against extending the temporary use permit that expired in May 2020, and have now imposed a deadline of June 30th to have the RV’s removed.
