City Council is moving ahead on restoring the Harbour Quay clock tower.

Mayor Sharie Minions said while they already have money from the Island Coastal Economic Trust for the bulk of the project, city council gave staff the green light to pursue a further $50,000 in government grants to get the job done.

Minions said the grants mean municipal taxpayers will not have to invest more money in the long-delayed project.
