A new housing development will soon be breaking ground in South Port.
Victoria based developer Chris Lefevre (la-fev) has purchased the parking lots and some buildings around the former Woodwards and Zellers building from the Coulson Group.
Lefevre said the development will be called Woodwards Village
“When I see the right property that suits the Lefevre style, I’ll buy it,” he said. “That opportunity occured when Mr. Coulson decided to sell some of his lands around the old Woodwards store, and that top end of town will see a change coming pretty soon.”
Lefevre has led developments from California to the Yukon, including many resorts in Tofino
He said he’s been looking at investing in Port Alberni for many years.
