Island Health says it has identified a third case of COVID-19 at Tsawaayuus Rainbow Gardens.
The outbreak was declared at the facility Nov. 16 and Island Health says this latest case was deemed to be a close contact to the initial staff case.
Island Health received confirmation of the latest positive test result yesterday and says the resident is not currently experiencing symptoms, and they don’t suspect it is indicative of widespread transmission within the facility.
All residents and staff who work at the site received a second COVID-19 test earlier this week, and no additional cases have been identified.
