Port Alberni is seeing the first building boom in decades, as developers rush to complete apartment buildings and new subdivisions around town.
Now, a new seniors centre has been announced by a group of experienced developers from the lower mainland.
The Vancouver Resource Society is the largest non-profit operator of seniors homes in BC, and is about to build a 5-storey seniors centre at Anderson and North Park Drive.
Already named the Timberline at North Park, the building will have 102 units designed for independent seniors living.
Construction is scheduled to start in early 2021.
