City Council terminated the McLean Mill Society Board yesterday, as they look for a different management model.
Mayor Sharie Minions said the city will take over management of the National Historic Site until a new operator is in place.
She said it was challenging to sustain the operation just with volunteers, and council is currently interviewing applicants, with an eye to providing consistent service and making the most of the attraction.
