Highway 4 will be receiving considerable attention over the next few years according to representatives from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
Central Island Operations Manager Stefan Yancey says the $38 million Kennedy Hill project is on schedule for completion this summer, and engineers are beginning work on Cathedral Grove parking and traffic improvement plans.
They have also started the approval process on blasting Angel Rock and two other rock bluffs of concern along Cameron Lake, which are inside the boundaries of Little Qualicum Falls provincial park.
Yancey said it will probably be a couple of years before that project begins.
