Arrowview owner Stan Pottie says he remains committed to bringing the dilapidated building down.
Last week, WorkSafe BC inspector Eric Bondy slapped a stop-work order on the project, for disturbing asbestos containing materials without any controls.
Pottie said he sent a variety of building samples to an independent laboratory, who have not found any asbestos in the roofing materials.
We have requested a copy of the WorkSafe inspection report.
In the meantime Pottie says his workers will plan the demolition and reclamation of timbers, which have already been sold to a company in Europe.
