The Arrowview Hotel rollercoaster took another dip, after new building owner Stan Pottie says he’s now walking away from the demolition project.
He said he received a report from the city on Thursday afternoon, and if saw it three weeks ago, he never would have purchased the building.
“We had a dream to build a building there, but first we had to get through this nightmare, and I don’t think there’s a way to get through it,” he said. “If I had read this report three weeks ago, I have quit wasting my time going up there. I don’t think God could take that building down but eventually I guess it will fall down.”
Pottie says he felt tricked into the purchase and he’ll be meeting with a lawyer regarding his future plans.
