Port Alberni firefighters will be featured in an upcoming reality series called Hellfire Heroes.
The eight part Discovery Channel series will feature the Port Alberni fire department along with Swift Current Saskatchewan, and rural firefighters in Northern Alberta.
Port Alberni Fire Chief Mike Owen says the TV series will highlight the hard work of local firefighters
“Sometimes the work we do here is hard to put into a Facebook post or a Tweet,” said Owen. “Certainly our job is to show up on some people’s worst days, and try to make it a little better than when we showed up. This program will be able to highlight some of our efforts that we do on a day-to-day basis.”
Owen said the Discovery crew headed out with Valley volunteer fire departments as well as city first responders.
Hellfire Heroes starts Tuesday October 22nd at 7pm on the Discovery Channel
