Search for Port Alberni teens intensifies

RCMP officers were on all-night patrols in northern Manitoba as the search intensified for two Port Alberni teenagers wanted in connection to three deaths in northern B.C.
19-year old Kam McLeod and 18-year old Bryer Schmegelsky were last seen in Gillam, Manitoba.
A burned out vehicle was found on the nearby Bird reserve, according to Fox Lake Cree First Nation Chief Walter Spence, who could not confirm whether it was connected to the wanted teens, though photos shared across social media show a grey SUV matching the description the pair were last seen driving.
Police refused to release details about how investigators determined the two men are now suspects.
Friends of the two we spoke with yesterday expressed shock and disbelief at the charges, saying the two have always been good kids.
