With the first round of consultations complete, Ministry of Transportation staff will develop ideas for solving summer traffic problems in Cathedral Grove.
More than 500 people submitted ideas on ways to improve safety and access to Cathedral Grove, while protecting the park.
Mike Pearson, Transport Ministry District Manager for Vancouver Island says balancing the needs of the environment and travelers will take some work.
He says ideas for expanded parking lots, new routes around the park, and pedestrian overpasses and underpasses will be reviewed and brought back to the community for more consultation sessions in the Spring.
