Dozens of people packed council chambers yesterday to show their support for McLean Mill.
Representatives from the Industrial Heritage and McLean Mill societies said the National Historic Site is a treasure that needs to be supported and protected.
McLean Mill Society President Sheena Falconer says they need more time and support to show they can be profitable
She says there is already increased revenues through weddings and corporate events, and they’re asking for more time to work towards profitability
Falconer says the city could help out by sharing services like accounting, book keeping, and city works services to help lighten the load and decrease costs to the societies.
