City Council is preparing for budget debates and held a special meeting with city managers yesterday.
Through the day, each manager came before council and gave an overview of their departments
Mayor Sharie Minions said the meeting provided a base of understanding for new council members, and a refresher for returning councillors.
“The first step to a new council being able to start the process of a budget is to make sure that we have a full understanding of each of those departments so today really was the kick-off to that,” she said.
Council will begin work towards their 2019 budget and 5-year financial plan later this month.
