Port Alberni firefighters didn’t have far to go when a blaze broke out inside a home across the street from the fire station.
Fire investigators say there’s nothing suspicious at this point, but it’s the third fire at that address in the past couple of decades.
Fire Captain Ed Francouer said crews were also called out to a report of a campfire near Paper Mill Dam park
Port Alberni and Beaver Creek fire crews were both called out but could not find any suspects.
