The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce has received a $67,000 provincial grant to encourage entrepreneurs.
The money is part of $750,000 the BC government allocated to west coast Vancouver Island projects through the rural dividend fund
Chamber manager Bill Collette says they’re in the process of developing programs to further encourage business in the valley.
The money will go towards specific training programs for women, young professionals, and entrepreneurial training for existing businesses.
