West Coast First Nations are very happy about local MLA Scott Fraser’s appointment as Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation.
Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council Vice-President Ken Watts says Fraser has always worked closely with Nuu-chah-nulth Nations.
Watts is hopeful Fraser’s experience and knowledge of First Nations means positive changes will be coming soon.
He said the province has been at a stand-still for far too long, waiting for the change in government.
