City Council wants to install new signs letting people know they’re in Port Alberni.

Blake Johnson, who operates a kayak tour company, says we should be proud of our city, its assets, and advertise it confidently.
Johnson says the signage should be part of an over all tourism plan, but he doesn’t want it to cost the city money
Mayor Ruttan is suggesting signs at John Street, Redford Extension and Franklin River Road and has sent it to the committee stage to discuss it more.
