Blackfalds beat Alberni Valley 4-2 Thursday night in the Battle of the Bulldogs at the Multiplex. Alberni Valley took a 2-1 lead three minutes into the third, but Blackfalds scored three unanswered, including once into an empty net with 13 seconds left, for the win. Wyatt Davis and Jacob Terpstra scored.
The Bulldogs have Friday night off, and host the Cowichan Valley Capitals Saturday night.
The Port Alberni Bombers earned a 3-2 road win Saturday night over the Kerry Park Islanders.
Mahki Wandler, Kash Nicklin and Chase Pouchnik supplied the offense. The Bombers next play Friday at home when they host the Peninsula Panthers.
