Bulldogs go 1and 1, Bombers top Storm 5-2,  Black Sheep season opens


 

 

 

 

The Bulldogs split a season opening home and home set with the Nanaimo Clippers over the weekend. The Bulldogs were 5-2 winners Friday night in Nanaimo. Samuel Leonard and Jacob Terpstra scored twice and Kai Matthew added a single. Ryder Shea stopped a penalty shot while earning the win in net.
The Clippers won 4-2 at the Multiplex on Saturday night. Kai Matthew had both Bulldogs goals.
The Bulldogs visit the Capitals in Duncan on Friday night and host the Langley Rivermen on Saturday night.

 

 

The Port Alberni Bombers ran their unbeaten in regulation streak to three games with a 5-2 win over the Campbell River Storm Wednesday night in VIJHL play at the Multiplex. Malik Oliva and Kash Nicklin scored twice while Kaydin Halladay added a single. Ryan Burroughs earned third star honours with his first career win in net.

The Bombers visit the Lake Cowichan Kraken Friday night, and return home to host the Oceanside Generals on Sunday night.

 

The Black Sheep Rugby Club dropped their season opener to James Bay Athletic Association 48-33 Saturday at the Black Sheep Rugby Club

They host Langley this Saturday, September 27th at 1:00, and are also at home hosting  CW on October 4th.
