A 37-year old Port Alberni man was found guilty of sexual assault by a BC Supreme Court jury.
Ryan Wagar was originally charged with sexual assault with a weapon, but the 4 man and 8 woman jury downgraded the charge to the lesser sexual assault.
Wagar was 34 when he sexually assaulted a 16 year old girl at Paper Mill Dam Park in August of 2021.
He will return to court in August for sentencing.
