Homeowners in Port Alberni saw their property values drop an average of 2% this year according to BC Assessments
North Port property values dropped the most at 4.3% while South Port dropped 2.8% and rural areas were down 1.1%
Assessed values increased very slightly at 0.2% in Central Port
Business properties saw a 6.3% increrase in value, while light industrial went up 7.2%
Calculations from BC Assessment were made to reflect the value of each home in 2024, according to market value as of July 1, 2023.
