Police and fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire at the former Somass Mill on Saturday.
Smoke from the fire was visible throughout South Port along with smoke from slash burns across the inlet.
All valley fire departments were involved in battling the blaze which has been deemed suspicious.
The city has been overseeing demolition of the mothballed mill that it purchased in 2021 for $5.3 million.
There had been concerns that homeless people had been living in some of the derelict buildings.
