Yesterday afternoon, wildfire crews attacked a small fire north of Lacey Lake, in the hills behind Coombs Country Candy.
The fire, believed to be human-caused, was approximately 0.4 hectares in size and is now listed as under control.
The Coastal Fire Centre sent two initial attack crews and a helicopter equipped with a Bambi Bucket.
The fire is one of two burning near Port Alberni as the Cameron Bluffs wildfire is listed as being under control but not considered out yet.
