City Council has chosen their preferred developer for the Somass Lands.
The 43-acre site was purchased from Western Forest Products two years ago, and has been moving through a development process.
Initially 16 proponants filed statements of interest, but that’s now been whittled down to one developer, which the city can’t name as complex terms are still being negotiated for another few months.
The City is also not releasing the name of the business going into the train station, but yesterday approved the installation of a large hoodfan atop the garage portion of the heritage structure.
