City spending was laid out at this week’s audit committee meeting.
Parks will receive almost $9 million in 2023 – the largest share of capital spending this year.
The Connect the Quays project represents the largest chunk of the Parks budget at $5.8 million, with much of that money being federal and provincial grant funding.
The sewer system will receive more than $5 million for repairs, maintainance and upgrades, and the water system was allocated $3.2 million.
The city approved the spending of $4.5 million on new trucks and heavy equipment with the new fire department ladder truck being the biggest expenditure at almost $2 million.
Paving projects will get $2.3 million, an area that the city admits was underfunded last year.
