Mid-Island Pacific Rim MLA Josie Osborne has enjoyed a very busy year in Victoria and within the riding.
She says reconciliation ceremonies and celebrating First Nations partnerships have been some of her most memorable events.
“Some of the best stuff that’s gone on was right here in the Alberni Valley and I got to take part in some really fantastic events this year,” she said. “Celebrating the Oomiqsuu Mother’s Centre with the Huu-ay-aht First Nation was a really meaningful event for Huu-ay-aht and something that will be open for Nuu-chah-nulth and other families around the valley.”
Osborne, the former Mayor of Tofino and Alberni Clayoquot Regional District chair, was immediately made a Minister upon entering provincial politics, and was recently given her third portfolio in a year, proving she has the confidence of both outgoing Premier John Horgan and new Premier David Eby.
