More charges will be announced today against the Port Alberni man accused of at least 6 robberies of three local businesses earlier this month according to Inspector Eric Rochette.
25-year old Angus Brown is accused of robbing the Redford 7-ll, King Edward liquor store and Hive cannabis shop within a 9-day period.
He has been held in custody and is scheduled for his first court appearance today.
2 people accused of robberies earlier this year are also expected to plead guilty this month.
Rochette told city council yesterday the youth accused of fatally stabbing 20-year of Clifton Johnson on 4th Avenue last year will face a preliminary hearing this week.
