DFO has raised the Somass Sockeye run size again, now estimated to be 850,000 fish, more than double the preseason forecast.
486,000 fish have made it back to Sproat and Great Central Lakes, and 479,000 have been caught in commercial, recreational and Indigenous fisheries.
Area D gillnetters brought in more than 92,000 sockeye, Somass First Nations 77,000 and Area B seiners took 75,000. Recreational anglers caught just over 5000.
