With the municipal election just 4 months away, candidates are beginning to announce their intentions.
Sharie Minions announced on Friday that she intends to seek a second term as mayor, and says she is excited to move projects and initiatives forward
“It is such an incredible feeling to get to have a direct influence on the future of the community that I grew up in and that I love,” she said. “I feel like we are making a difference and I’m really excited about a lot of the initiatives that we have going on so I’m committed to working toward another term and I’m really excited.”
All members of council have said they intend to run for re-election, except for first term councillor Ron Corbeil.
Retired crown counsel lawyer and CMHA Board chair Todd Patola has also announced he intends to run again for a seat on council.
The election happens on Saturday, October 15th.
