ANACLA – Forests Minister Katrine Conroy will be in Bamfield today as part of the Old Growth Summit, organized by the Huu-ay-aht First Nation.
Along with the Forests Minister there will also be presentations from ‘Namgis First Nation, and the Huu-ay-aht’s new forest company Tsawalkin Forestry, which oversees much of the forestry activity in TFL 44.
The Summit will bring together 50 coastal Indigenous nations to share information on their stewardship and resource management planning and decision making processes.
