City Council purchased land on 4th Avenue, but hasn’t decided what to do with it.
The large, bare lot sits across from the bottle depot, between a storage lot, and the infamous RV lot beside the Wintergreen Apartments.
Mayor Sharie Minions said they have a “strategic intent” for the property but haven’t fully decided what that will be.
“I can’t comment on the intended use of this property at this point because council has not yet 100% determined that and gone through a process of releasing that information,” she said. “We will be communicating to the public the intended use of that property as soon as we’re able to.”
The city purchased the listed property for $250,000 with the money coming from their million-dollar land sale reserve account.
