A small rally was held yesterday for Terry Mack, who friends identified as the man found dead in a Third Avenue apartment last week.
They were demanding police charge a woman they believe is connected to his death, but she is currently in a medically-induced coma after being shot by police in Ucluelet on the weekend.
Port Alberni RCMP are saying little about the death of the 34-year old father of two.
The Independent Investigations Office is also tight lipped about the shooting of 30-year old Melinda Martin, who allegedly stabbed a man in his Hitatsu home and when police were called, was holding a replica handgun, causing officers to fire.
She remains in hospital in Victoria while police continue their investigation.
