A 49-year old Port Alberni man was sentenced to 9 months jail after pleading guilty to trafficking in cocaine.
Ward Fertuck was under surveillance when he sold drugs from his car to two men who were also then arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Fertuck, who had just been released from hospital yesterday morning after a drug overdose, apologized to the court before being led away to jail.
He’ll be on probation for 18-months after release. The two co-accused failed to show up for their court dates yesterday.
