Thunder in the Valley will be heard again this summer according to the Alberni Valley Drag Racing Association.
Dave Beecroft says the racers will either return to Stamp Avenue in August, or start a new spot on Harbour Road between the Somass Mill and the Catalyst weigh scales.
“We’re doing our best to make this happen,” he said. “We want to do it this year no matter what.”
He said the association has applied for government grants to help restart the races, which could just be broadcast online if COVID crowd restrictions are still in place.
