Alberni Valley kids will be back to school in ten days, and school district administrators are planning for their return in these uncertain times.
School District Superintendent Greg Smyth says he understands some parents have concerns about how schools can prevent the spread of COVID-19, and says school principals have been reaching out to parents to address their concerns
“There is an anxiety, we know it’s there, but it quickly dissipated once students got back into school, saw their peers and their teachers, learned some new routines, so if parents do have concerns please by all means get ahold of their school administrator as soon as possible,” said Smyth.
He says while the district is offering distributed learning options for home schooling, there is a September 30th enrollment deadline for students.
