SD70 board chair Pam Craig says new cleaning and sanitizing plans are in place to keep everyone safe
“There are clear protocols for enhanced cleaning and disinfecting,” said Craig. “We have additional sanitizers and handwashing units, and of course the floor-to-ceiling directional markers so the children can see what the traffic patterns will be up and down the hallways.”
Elementary students can expect a full return to in-class instruction with a cohort model… While secondary students can expect 2 blocks of about 2.5 hours of in-class instruction per day for 10 weeks.
Parents have also been offered homeschooling or distributed learning options through the district.
School District officials are still working to figure out how the school bus program will work under COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
