The Robertson Creek chinook are beginning their return to the hatchery.
34 chinook and 5 coho passed through the Stamp Falls counters last week to mark the start of a strong fishery.
91,000 chinook are forecast to return, which is an above-average run.
The coho return is also predicted to be strong.
Sockeye returns ended up being better than expected with more than 235,000 reaching the Sproat and Great Central Lake area spawning grounds.
