The Sproat Lake Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the death of one of their members.
Lieutenant Ron Suits suffered a heart attack while battling a barn fire on McCoy Lake Road Thursday.
The 69-year old was a 27-year veteran of the Calgary Fire Department and leaves behind his wife Leanna and two grown children Tyler and Rebecca
Sproat Lake Fire Chief Mike Cann said Suits was a well-liked member, and a highly-respected teacher to the more inexperienced members.
