Third Avenue Beautification Project launched

City Council gave a glimpse of their vision for a Third Avenue beautification project.
They want to reduce traffic flow to two-lanes between Argyle and Mar, and change angle parking to paralell parking.
Mayor Sharie Minions said the plan is about minimizing vehicle traffic, and focusses on pedestrian traffic, including cyclists
“The project is very much not focussed around bike lanes, but, it is an added benefit that we are getting a bike lane put in here, and as a result of that, we are expecting to receive a $400,000 grant for the project,” she said.
Minions said the $1.5 million project is a starting point for their community vision, and said council is excited to be moving forward.
