A homeless man was sent to jail for 60 days after stealing from the 5th Avenue Sobering Centre.
35-year old Terry Stevenson admitted to stealing $850 from a lockbox at the centre.
The theft was caught on CCTV and he was quickly identified by the manager, who is also his mother.
Stevenson, who is not welcome at the local shelter, will be on probation for 18-months once released, and will have to repay the money he stole.
